DARPA
What he has asked the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, sent it, and argued about it since 2021 — and what the agency's own published record confirms about each. His position throughout, borne out by the agency's disclosures: that the agency builds on what the public thinks, that the public should own what it thinks, and that a great deal of what is called classified is in DARPA's own publications.
- Proposal Lidar over radio for autonomous navigation where jamming or charge-blocking is the threat. Record: DARPA's Robotic Autonomy in Complex Environments program and the Army's RCV work standardized multi-sensor stacks with lidar for GPS-denied operation in 2021–23.
- Request Asked the agency to return his Born–Oppenheimer approximation draft — a document he says left his possession — copied to the Senate Intelligence Committee's members. Record: the Born–Oppenheimer approximation underlies quantum-chemistry programs DARPA has funded since the Quantum Benchmarking program of 2021.
- Argument Partisan funding of climate solutions is the most dangerous thing facing humanity: “Democrats only fund Democrats because they only want Democrats to get the credit.”
- Interest The AI Cyber Challenge, days after its August 2023 announcement. Record: AIxCC ran 2023–25 and its August 2025 final had AI systems find and patch real vulnerabilities in open-source software — the machinery his Arguments page describes.
- Correspondence Sought a reply from the agency's public-affairs channel to his correspondence through its directory.
- Argument “Who gave universities and agencies the right to steal the American dream away from America's citizens? Innovation belongs to the people. Are appropriations not enough?” Record: under Bayh–Dole (1980), universities keep title to inventions made with federal money; the public that paid for the research licenses it back.
- Proposals Photo-switchable oxygenated phospholipids for longevity; thermal probing by layered lidar returns to read micro-fluctuations in temperature. Record: DARPA's Invisible Headlights (2021–) reads passive thermal emission for navigation; lidar-based thermometry is an active research field.
- Argument “Hear them or steal them?” “If your system doesn't trust my system to get the information, why do I need to trust you? Physics is way harder to break than math.”
- Proposals “AI agents is a little ominous”; robotic dexterity for agility is a must; model perception from known distances instead of triangulation, making the unknowns known and reverse-engineering the variables. Record: DARPA's AI Forward and its agentic programs followed; its Robotic Autonomy work centers on dexterity.
- Record Focused Pharma (2019–): the agency's program to develop psychedelic-derived compounds with the hallucinogenic effect engineered out — DARPA's documented, present-tense hand in the pharmacology of altered states, which his MK-Ultra chain on the Spiritual logic page sets beside the OSS cannabis truth-drug of 1943 and the Edgewood cannabinoid trials.
- Research Which DARPA insect programs could carry a gene-editing payload. Record: Insect Allies (2016–2020) funded insects as vectors for plant gene editing; Science published a warning in 2018 that the same platform could be weaponized.
- Argument Did DARPA let Apple take ownership of brain-mapping technology? Brain mapping breaks genuine politics. Record: DARPA's N3 program (2018–2022) funded non-invasive, non-surgical neural interfaces; Apple holds patents on neural-signal sensing in earbuds (2023–25).
- Argument “What will DARPA build next, since they seem to be the only ones with the rights?”
- Argument Universities are downstream DARPA projects. Record: DARPA's university funding built the ARPANET (1969), the first autonomous vehicles and most of the AI field.
- Research Remote, non-contact EEG, brain mapping, biological signatures and TEMPEST — and the point that the agency's own disclosures show how much of it is unclassified and how much of it is sold to civilians. Record: TEMPEST is a published NSA/NATO standard; DARPA's public program pages describe N3's sensing modalities in detail.
- Proposal Sim-maxing — his infinite-arithmetic stress test for flight trainers, noting the Air Education and Training Command's work with the Defense Innovation Unit on the same problem; sent to Luke Air Force Base the same day.
- Argument DARPA's public disclosures on directed energy and its original frequency research are the record the neurowar debate should start from; “enough computation to get to the moon, but not enough to scale Pavlov with frequencies and sensors that already existed.” See the DEW page.
His standing offer to the agency and its siblings — DIU, AFWERX, the service labs — is on the Portfolio page under Controlled disclosure: the concepts at concept level in public, the technical detail through the channels built for it.
