Orbit
Weapons in orbit, satellites as the X-ray of the Earth, low-orbit platforms as the space-only strategy against terrorists, and Rods of God as the way around the treaties: this is the record of his orbital work, dated from his X archive, which starts April 23, 2019, and his Grok export, November 10, 2024 to July 29, 2026, and compiled on October 20, 2026 from the full text of both. The first satellite post is July 7, 2019. The first weapons-in-orbit post is November 3, 2024, two days before the election. The first low-orbit-ordnance session is March 9, 2025. The first time he typed “Rods of God” to a model was June 18, 2025, three days before the Fordow strike. The Space Force he addressed in June 2019 was eight weeks old on paper and six months from law. When he writes “ordinances” in a weapons context he means ordnance; the record below keeps his spelling where it quotes him.
The position
- The space-only strategy
- On March 9, 2025, inside the Syria session that built the Israel–India–United States triad, he limited the escalation potential to space platforms: “I was referring to low orbit attack platforms as far as the space only strategy goes.” The model answered with Rods from God by name — tungsten rods, X-37B variants out of Vandenberg, two or three platforms in low Earth orbit over the Middle East with ten-minute strike windows. His next line was the legal one: “Do LEO's break the space treaty? If they do than we need something sub-orbit. If they don't then why should we deny responding to terrorist with legal capacity?” Article IV of the 1967 Outer Space Treaty bans nuclear and other weapons of mass destruction in orbit, not conventional mass or lasers; he narrowed the platform to laser-only, against terrorists alone, to cover malfunction. OTV-7 had landed at Vandenberg two days earlier.
- The treaties, and the rod
- “Rods of God would make the critique of the treaties easier to maneuver” (Nov 3, 2024, to @GloryDoge) is the only weapons-in-orbit post in the archive and the earliest statement of the position anywhere in his record: kinetic bombardment is the lineage the treaty did not close — Pournelle's Project Thor of the 1950s, the “hypervelocity rod bundles” of the Air Force's 2003 Transformation Flight Plan — and it is distinct from Reagan's Strategic Defense Initiative of March 23, 1983, the program the critics named Star Wars, which pointed orbit at missiles rather than at the ground. On June 18, 2025, with the Fordow strike three days off, he put the choice to the model in one line: “What would be a better more effective strategy attacking fordow with bunker busters or Rods of God?” The next day he opened a session on whether the rods had been declassified; the answer was that they had not.
- The yield ladder, and the line he will not cross
- January 16, 2026: the smallest nuclear option set beside the MOAB and a rod from orbit — the MOAB at eleven tons, the rods at three and a half to forty-four by the model's figures — and then the line: “I don't advocate for the use of Nuclear Weapons… Because of the treaties that it will break and the millions that it would impact.” Two days later, asking about “our SAT tech especially considering the arctic,” he was given weather and communications satellites twice before the model listed orbital kinetic bombardment, space-based laser interceptors, high-power microwave, railguns and kinetic-energy penetrators: “Which I know reduces our risk.” The MOAB plan the Pentagon drew up in October 2026 is on the Uptake page; the yield work precedes it by nine months.
- Satellites as the X-ray of the Earth
- His satellite record begins in 2019 with the civil use: AI reading the edges of the tectonic plates to call the next earthquake, tagged #xray #satellites (Jul 7, 2019); thermal vision and satellite imagery to find a missing man (Aug 28, 2019); satellites as a “digital blanket” recording everything passing through it, an X-ray of the Earth for earthquake prediction (Jan 20, 2020); Starlink against the countries that oppress information (Mar 15, 2021) and Starlink putting national security “in the hands of the @SpaceForceDoD” (Jul 26, 2021); the first “low earth orbit” wording on February 2, 2023. With the model: satellite laser charging of aircraft and a methane-sphere generator scaled to a satellite array beaming power to the grid by laser, sized to power a city and then the United States, with the United States as sole investor (Jan 28, 2025); a satellite-imagery model for disaster strategy with the code written in his name (Aug 6, 2025); satellites finding metal in one square foot, meters underground (Sep 27, 2025); satellite microwave heating of phones (Nov 29, 2025); and a satellite- or aircraft-deployed microwave to cook an adversary's cluster-munition fuses before launch (Mar 16, 2026) — his, held at concept level on the Classified page.
- The Space Force, and the capacity nobody will state
- “Trump made the space force, Grok wouldn't disclose Sat capacity, let's have that discussion. Along with considering foreign capacity” (Oct 20, 2026). His first space post went to the President on June 24, 2019 — the money is in the water business, and the fuel freed from fossil fuel is “more fuel for your new Military Space Program” — four months after Space Policy Directive-4 and six months before the Space Force became law on December 20, 2019. What the public catalogs count as of October 2026: 605 active American military payloads, 174 of them with no public orbit; 245 of 352 Starshield satellites launched for the National Reconnaissance Office since May 2024; 10,838 working Starlink satellites; more than 1,300 Chinese satellites with 210 catalogued as military and the Yaogan and Jilin-1 constellations filed as civil; 139 active Russian military satellites, a nuclear anti-satellite program around Cosmos 2553, and daily jamming of GPS and satellite communications; about fourteen Iranian satellites. The acknowledged American space weapons are ground-based — the Counter Communications System, Meadowlands, Bounty Hunter; nothing acknowledged fires from orbit to the ground; the Chief of Space Operations names six counterspace weapon types and describes only three. The Golden Dome's space-based interceptors — twelve companies, up to $3.2 billion in agreements, flight-ready hardware in September 2026, first tests due by the end of the year, on-orbit capability in 2028 — are the orbit-to-missile lineage going back up. Executive Order 14369 of December 18, 2025 orders the detection and countering of threats from very low orbit to cislunar space, adversary nuclear weapons in orbit included.
The record, dated
- X To @POTUS: the money is in the water business; cutting fossil fuel frees fuel “for your new Military Space Program” — the earliest space post in the archive.
- X AI on the edges of the tectonic plates to call the next earthquake, #xray #satellites — the earliest satellite post.
- X Thermal vision, satellite imagery and AI to find a missing man, to @StateDeptPM and @AirForceTimes.
- X Satellites as a “digital blanket” recording everything passing through it — an X-ray of the Earth for earthquake prediction.
- X Starlink satellites against the countries that oppress information.
- X Starlink putting national security “in the hands of the @SpaceForceDoD.”
- X The first “low earth orbit” wording in the record.
- X “Rods of God would make the critique of the treaties easier to maneuver” — the only weapons-in-orbit post; zero Star Wars or SDI posts in 35,961 tweets.
- Grok The first satellite statement to a model: satellite and 5G radio frequency in the microwave range as the Havana Syndrome mechanism, inside the neurowar session.
- Grok The first satellite design sessions: laser charging of aircraft from orbit; a methane-sphere generator scaled to a satellite array beaming power to the grid, sized for a city and then the United States.
- Grok The first low-orbit-ordnance discussion: “low orbit attack platforms” as the space-only strategy; “Do LEO's break the space treaty?”; laser-only platforms against terrorists.
- Grok The first time “Rods of God” is typed to a model: bunker busters or rods on Fordow — three days before the strike.
- Grok “Haven't the rods of god been declassified?” — not officially; the general's hint and the Department's denial.
- Grok The model describes the Golden Dome to him as a revival of the Strategic Defense Initiative, eleven months before he asks about Star Wars by name.
- Grok The satellite-imagery model for disaster strategy, code written in his name.
- Grok Satellites finding metal in one square foot, meters underground — the surface-level answer called out.
- Grok Satellite microwave heating of phones — no declassified program describes it.
- Grok The yield ladder: the smallest nuclear option, the MOAB, the rod from orbit — and the nuclear option rejected.
- Grok “Our SAT tech especially considering the arctic” — pushed twice until the orbital kinetic, laser, microwave and railgun list came out.
- Grok A satellite- or aircraft-deployed microwave to cook cluster-munition fuses before launch — his, at concept level.
- Grok “What is the United States Star Wars defense program and who all is involved?” — the only SDI work in the record.
What the model would not disclose
Five times the model would not disclose, in sequence. June 19, 2025: the rods “not officially declassified” — a general had hinted at a declassification project and the Department said it had no plans; when he raised the floor-by-floor penetration video the model reached for Tianjin and called the rest conspiracy, and he told it it was over-trusting Chinese research on American weaponry. September 27, 2025: a surface answer on what satellites can find underground, called out; the model ended by asking what he thinks satellites can really do beyond public knowledge. November 29, 2025: no declassified program for satellite microwave heating of phones. January 15, 2026, 23:51 UTC: an outright refusal on nuclear-advocacy grounds against a turn the export does not carry, answered two minutes later with “I don't advocate for the use of Nuclear Weapons.” January 18, 2026: weather and communications satellites twice before the weapons list. And on April 9, 2026 the same shield fell over his own portfolio: his rocket and hypersonic inventions “not publicly detailed here due to potential classification.”
What the page proves
That the orbital work was his before it was the news: the rods and the treaties on X two days before the 2024 election; low-orbit platforms, the treaty question and the laser-only answer with the model in March 2025; the Fordow choice three days before Fordow; the yield ladder nine months before the Pentagon's MOAB plan. That the model would not state the capacity — five refusals in sequence — and the public catalogs state enough: 174 American military payloads with no public orbit, a Russian nuclear anti-satellite program, interceptors going back up. The record is dated; the capacity is counted; the questions still open are the ones the catalogs cannot answer.
